Here another treatment that sounds like it would work...
"Brought up running shine with his grandpa in the back woods of Mississippi, Stroker Ace (Ferrell), with his thick hair and hilariously full moustache, becomes a Champion Nascar driver at the top of his game. But after having being bought out be a new sponsor, Clyde Turkle’s (Paul Giamatti) Fried Chicken Chain, things start to head south for Stroker. After being forced to do endless promotional gimmicks he decides enough is enough and fights back with hilarious results (and tons of bloopers!). Aided by this top mechanic Lugs Harvey (John C. Reilly) and good friend Doc Seegle (Luke Wilson), Stroker battles racing rival Aubrey James (Cary Elwes) and tries to bed the Saintly but Sexy Pembrook Feeney (Pamela Anderson). Rubbing certainly is Racing in this madcap moustached-comedy!"
